RARE HISPANO-MOORISH MONUMENTAL HANGING, PRINTED CANVAS LINED WITH VELVET AND EMBROIDERED WITH SILK THREADS. SPAIN OR MOROCCO, 19th CENTURY OR EARLIER. Ornamented with calligraphic decoration in ornamental kufic, forming a poly-lobed arcature, housing the Nasrid blazon, garnet background against cream background, cartouches inscribed with the Nasrid motto surrounding the whole. Velvet lining. several tears, missing, very worn. 235 x 160cm.
