VERMEIL COLLAR, FILIGRANÉ, ENAMELLED AND SET WITH GREEN AND RED GLASS CABOCHONS, IRAN, 19th CENTURY. Composed of square gold plates, both ends trapezoidal, each decorated with granulations, a turquoise cabochon in the center. Hanging from each plate are long chain tassels alternating circular links, polylobed plates, discoidal plates and teardrop plates at the ends. At both ends of the enfilade, a tubular gold bead. No clasp. Length: 28.5 cm; gross weight: 116.4 g. Threaded on modern wires, very slight accidents.
