TWO LARGE TERRACOTTA DISHES (MAJOLICA), WITH SGRAFFITO DECORATION, COVERED WITH YELLOW, GREEN AND MANGANESE DRIPS. LATIN AMERICA, MEXICO, 18th CENTURY. In clay with incised decoration, painted with green, ochre and brown drips on cream slip, one decorated with two mirrored deer and the other with a large bouquet surrounded by birds. Enamel chips and wear. Each. Diameter: 37.5 cm. A dish from the same group is kept at Sèvres, Manufacture et musée nationaux (inv. 2013.0.31.3), two others very similar to our dishes are kept in the United States of America: The cleveland Museum of Art (Acc. 1969.267) and The Metropolitan Museum Of Art New York (11.87.88).
