JUZ' DE CORAN (XXV) MOROCCO, 17th CENTURY Arabic manuscript on paper. 65 leaves, 8 of which are blank. Text copied in calligraphic Maghribi script, at 11 lines per page within a frame of three red and blue fillets. Sepia and colored inks. Vocalization and orthoepic signs in red, green, yellow, orange and blue. The titles of the suras az-Zukhruf (Q. 43), ad-Dukhan (Q. 44) and al-Jathiya (Q. 45) are added in orange ink in thuluth style. Textual divisions and prostrations (sajda) mentioned in the margin. Reclamations added later. Bound in original red morocco, cold-stamped with a pendant and stamped in gold.
