Nur al-Din 'Abdulrahman Jami' (d. 898 H./1492-93) : Troisième livre de Silsilat al-Dhahab, copié par Muhammad Salih al-Katib Turkey, Ottoman art, dated: 980 H./1572-73 Persian manuscript on gold-speckled paper, 45 ff. plus 1 f. of endpapers, 14 ll. of nasta'liq per page, written in black ink, in 2 columns. Titles in red and blue, rules in gold, green and blue. Illuminated frontispiece inscribed in white. The three penultimate pages with registers, inscribed in 4 ll. oblique, framed by later illuminated triangles. Colophon dated on last page, with later drawings and a property stamp dated: 1261 H./1844-45. Contemporary binding to the manuscript, in red morocco with gold stamped decoration. Stains, tears and spotting. Text : 15.5 x 8 cm ; Page : 23.5 x 14.4 cm An album dated AH 948 /1541-42 bearing the signature of Muhammad Salih al-Katib al-Khaqani is preserved in the Topkapi Palace (Medhi Bayani, Ahval va Asar-e Khosh-Nevisan, vol. III, Tehran, p. 777).
