Turkey, Iznik, Ottoman art, circa 1590 Round siliceous ceramic dish with polychrome decoration, decorated with four large sailing ships and two smaller feluccas in a central medallion with a flamed rim. Stylized border of waves and blue rocks. Condition: one long crack, slightly repaired and slightly repainted, and two other cracks; a hole in the heel and a hole in the rim repaired; minor repaints and small chips.
