TWO LINEN HANGINGS WITH TONE-ON-TONE EMBROIDERED DECORATION AND SILK LINING. NORTHERN INDIA, 19th CENTURY. Embroidered in cream silk, the large one decorated with a vase of flowers between two twisted columns, surmounted by two peacocks, the second with a similar design with a cutout at the top, the fragment, rectangular in shape, decorated with grapes and vine leaves. Wild silk lining. Dimensions: 220 x 176 cm; 177 x 254 cm and 180 x 30 cm. Provenance: Ex-Collection of Maréchal Berthier, Prince of Wagram.
