TWO PENCIL BOXES (QALAMDÂN) IRAN, QAJAR ART, 19th CENTURY In lacquered and papier-mâché paper, painted in polychrome, the larger one decorated with figures and hunting scenes, the smaller one with decoration simulating tortoiseshell. The larger: wear, accidents and missing parts; the smaller: wear, scratches, repaints. 20.8 x 4 cm. and 23.5 x 4.3 cm.
