BOL À FLEURON BICOLORE ROUGE ET BRUN CENTRAL ASIA, SAMANID ART, 10th CENTURY Bowl with flared truncated cone-shaped sides, on a flat base, in clay ceramic decorated with brick-red and brown slip on beige slip, adorned with two large interlocking palmettes forming two broad fleurons linked by a median line with two dots. Two thin bands punctuate the rim. Traces of a tripod pernet inside. Diameter: 21 cm. Private collection in Germany, since the 1970s. The certificate of Cultural Heritage is available for this lot.
