TENTURE « SUZANI » AU CŒUR VERT
CENTRAL ASIA, UZBEKISTAN, URGUT, 20th CENTURY Rectangular cotton hanging embroidered with cotton threads, decorated with large fuschia red and burgundy discs with green hearts, encircled by wide bands of black tendrils. Red rosettes border alternating with "S" motifs. A "SUZANI" HANGING WITH A GREEN HEART, CENTRAL ASIA, UZBEKISTAN, URGUT, 20TH CENTURY. H: 370 x W: 326 cm Urgut, located in the Samarkand region, is still known today for its large suzani hangings.
