Two calligraphies on paper, mounted on cardboard. Black ink, gold and gouache. Text in thuluth and naskh script. The first panel with one line of thuluth and three lines of naskh, bordered by two floral cartouches on a gold background; the second panel with one line of thuluth and two lines of tawqi' text, signed 'Abd al-Qadir al-Hamdi (Abdülkadir Hamdi), known as Hafiz al-Qur'an, and dated 1189 AH / 1775-76, surrounded by two gold scroll cartouches.
